Speaking to State broadcaster RAI radio on the sidelines of thecultural 'Mediterranean' event in Sabaudia near Rome,trading a breve termine Tajanisaid on this issue "there is the commitment of the G7 and manycountries, including Arab ones, with whom we share a politicalvision for stability in the Middle East". Italy hopes "that as soon as possible a ceasefire can be reachedin the Gaza Strip, that is the key element for a de-escalation,and we will see what Iran's reaction will be after the attacksthat led to the death of the leader of Hamas. "I think a reaction will be unavoidable", the minister went onto say, expressing the hope there will be "no victims and thatthis phase will then end". "The whole Arab world - Qatar, Egypt, Jordan... can be aninterlocutor of both sides and also of Iran to try to reach apositive solution", stressed Tajani.
